What happened
NASA announced that early science data from seven instruments aboard the Interstellar Mapping and Acceleration Probe are publicly available, creating new material for studying the solar wind, energetic particles and interstellar dust.

What was released
NASA's mission update says data collected through 30 April are available from seven of IMAP's ten instruments. The released measurements cover magnetic fields, solar-wind particles, energetic ions, ultraviolet glow and dust, among other targets.
NASA also points to near-real-time space-weather data. The source page links to the mission repositories rather than asking readers to rely on a summary alone.

What the announcement does not mean
A data release is the beginning of analysis, not a single scientific conclusion. Different instruments observe different properties, and researchers still need calibration, methods, uncertainty estimates and comparisons before making broader claims.
The other three instrument datasets were not described as failed; NASA said they were not yet ready for release. That distinction matters when a partial release is compressed into a headline.
